Hospital Cost Reports

The Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) will no longer require cost report submissions from non-state owned hospitals as of 07/01/2019. The hospital inpatient and outpatient reimbursement rates are set by prospective payment systems, so the Medicare cost report and the accompanying Agency Supplemental Information schedule is no longer required. The Agency or its contractor will continue to request data annually for the Medicaid Disproportionate Share Program Key Components (DSR) supplemental form.

State mental health hospitals are required to continue to submit the CMS 2552 Medicare cost report and the Agency Supplemental Information schedule. State mental health hospitals must submit cost reports annually using the Florida Secure Web Portal via https://flcostreports.mslc.com/ by November 30th.

Beginning July 1, 2019, the Agency will no longer provide complimentary Medicaid Paid Claims Listings (PCLs) to hospital providers for the submission of the hospital cost reports. Please submit requests for PCLs directly to DXC Technology at flmedicaidadhocs@dxc.com or contact DXC at (850) 298-7000 to purchase these files.

(See Federal Register Vol. 73, No. 245, December 19, 2008, rules and regulations.)
